afe-power-cts-v-performance The Second-Generation Cadillac CTS-V is revered in automotive circles as the best of both worlds, Cadillac comfort with Corvette performance. The lethal combination of the Eaton Supercharger mated to the cast aluminum LSA engine delivers 556hp of boosted power ready to shred tires and embarrass 99% of anything on the road if put to the test. And it does it with all of the class and style you'd expect with a Cadillac badge on it. But for the true performance enthusiast, the CTS-V has some obvious shortcomings, the primary flaw being how quiet the engine and exhaust are. Like Grandpa quiet. Cadillac was obviously bowing to the boardroom nannies trying to keep all things as mellow as possible for the masses. aFe POWER is in development on products that will wake the CTS-V up, improving performance and releasing the beautiful deep tones of the LSA engine via the aFe POWER Tri-Y Long Tube Headers and Cat-Back Exhaust System. Improving the air flow and letting the supercharger breathe will come from a aFe Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System designed specifically for the 09-15 CTS-V LSA. These modifications will add significant horsepower to the CTS-V and improve both 0-60 times and drag racing performance on the quarter mile.

Here is a sneak peek into the R&D development of the upcoming aFe Momentum GT CAI for the Cadillac CTS-V.  The Momentum Intake begins life utilizing CAD data direct from Cadillac, allowing aFe engineers to maximize the size of the filter, as well as increasing tube diameter to the engine for maximum airflow. Additional air inlet is created allowing for fresh air to have a direct path to the filter from the coolest point possible, through the grill. Auxiliary air scoops are also being looked at to funnel the air directly to the intake and filter for an additional ram-air effect at speed. 


Styling and fitment is precise, matching the engine cladding shape for an OEM look, with a carbon fiber top plate for a distinct look that can't be missed.


Next step is significant testing utilizing 3D Rapid Prototype Printing to verify fitment, ease of installation and performance testing. Stay tuned for more information!

This is an early prototype of the aFe POWER Stainless Steel 3" Cat-Back Exhaust System. Full 304SS construction, free flowing mufflers, and the design is currently being tweaked for both sound and performance.
