ACCOUNT MANAGER

Position Summary: The Account Manager is responsible for sourcing and establishing new accounts, as well as building and maintaining existing account relationships while meeting defined performance goals. This position interfaces with customer management to identity opportunities for aFe brand growth, recommend development strategy and ensure that all client commitments are met to the client’s satisfaction. This position may travel extensively in support of corporate sales initiatives to match and exceed corporate growth targets and is responsible for meeting revenue goals and growing client accounts year over year.

Essential Functions, Roles and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Sources, develops, builds and maintains customer relationships via travel, telephone and virtual interface.
  • Maximizes brand penetration into all aspects of assigned accounts thru maintaining relationships, and ensures growth in sales thru the identification of new business opportunities and customers.
  • Works with distributors to identify appropriate product mix to best serve client needs.
  • Conducts product training seminars to increase product knowledge and brand.
  • Represents aFe at regional and/or national car/truck and trade shows to promote the aFe Power product offerings and build brand awareness.
  • Builds and promotes customer base at wholesale and retail levels.
  • Works with aFe sales management and internal teams to develop and implement major initiatives, as well as targeted product and marketing plans.

AUTO MECHANIC

Position Summary: The Auto Mechanic will support maintenance and service to aFe fleet vehicles by performing routine maintenance including inspection, diagnostic evaluation and repair as needed. This position will also maintain vehicle records, registrations and usage records for aFe owned vehicles.

Essential Functions, Roles and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Follows checklist of inspection procedures.
  • May test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions or ensure that vehicles are running smoothly.
  • Reads and interprets diagnostic test results from diagnostic equipment such as an oscilloscope, which is used to measure the voltage produced by electronic components.
  • Operates hydraulic jacks or hoists to lift vehicles, equipment or heavy parts.
  • Inspects brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines and other parts of vehicles.
  • Does routine maintenance on vehicles to include but not limited to oil changes, battery changes, and lubrication of equipment and parts.
  • May adjust and align wheels, tighten bolts and screws and attach system components.
  • Repairs or replaces malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows safety regulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to comprehend and follow technical written and verbal instructions and procedures.
  • Advanced automotive knowledge, with demonstrated experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.

DIRECT SALES REPRESENTATIVE - INBOUND PHONE

Position Summary: The Direct Sales Representative is responsible for obtaining sales, processing orders and educating the aFe customer through in-bound calls. This position acts as an aFe brand ambassador, working closely with the end user on identifying the perfect aFe product solution based on each customer’s unique performance needs.

Roles & Responsibilities / Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

  • Responds to in-bound calls and educates customers on aFe products and vehicle applications.
  • Makes recommendations for aFe product solutions based on needs assessment and customer inquiries.
  • Obtains orders and captures sales from customer in-bound calls.
  • May represent aFe at local car/truck shows and promote the aFe Power product lines.
  • May assist the Technical Service department with excess phone volume or issue resolution.

FILTER PRODUCTION

Position Summary: The Filter Production worker is responsible for the production, assembly and packaging of various automotive filter components and filters and will operate a variety of manual and automated manufacturing machinery and utilize shop tools for filter production. This position will also perform tasks related to assembly and sub-assembly processes, inspection and other requirements as assigned. Essential Functions: (other responsibilities and/or duties may be assigned)

  • Operates automatic pleating machine by loading raw material filter medium, setting machine controls, and unloading pleated material.
  • Operates shop saw to cut filter material to specified width and length
  • Uses tools to clip filter medium to form filter shape per documented specifications.
  • Uses dispensing guns to add urethane to create filter tops and bottoms for oiled filters.
  • Loads, positions, and unloads automated filter carousel with filters for processing.
  • Uses trim tools to trim excess flash from completed part.
  • Inspects completed filter for defects and quality based on specifications.
  • Assembles and packages filters using packaging material per specifications.
  • Communicates machine issues and/or manufacturing process issues to management.
  • Follows all safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains a clean and clutter free work station.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to comprehend and follow simple written and verbal instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet specified production goals.
  • Familiarity with automated machinery, basic shop tools such as clippers, shop saw and trimming tools, a plus.

PHOTOGRAPHER / GRAPHIC ARTIST

Position Summary: The Photographer/Graphic Designer is responsible for the day-to-day management of product photography, organizing and managing a schedule to shoot multi-angle product images, and preparing graphic images for publication to the company website. This person will coordinate with product project leads and schedule each product photo shoot based on product availability and will provide support to graphic

  • Photographs products, as well as edits, corrects and clips images of products for use in marketing materials.
  • Completes graphic design projects as assigned from inception to completion, ensuring the highest quality and 100% accuracy.
  • Works closely with each project lead to schedule photo and video shoots; follows established procedures on approval and submittal of content for publication at all times.
  • Manages assigned projects to ensure completion by firm deadlines.
  • Adheres to aFe standards of workstation organization and cleanliness and follows safety procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of photo composition, lighting, and use of digital SLR camera equipment

R&D TECHNICIAN - SUSPENSION

Position Summary: The R&D Technician - Suspension provides mechanical support to the aFe Control suspension product development team for new product applications. This position will support project leaders by performing car/truck maintenance and repair, measurement, testing, prototype install and documentation.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

  • Works on specific projects as assigned by project leaders involving new product development.
  • Installs and troubleshoots applications on vehicles; provide repairs.
  • Installs and tests prototypes.
  • Completes assigned projects with appropriate documentation on schedule per assigned deadlines.
  • May visit vendor/supplier to deliver/pick-up vehicles, or parts, as required.
  • May run errands for shop supplies or requirements as needed.
  • Utilizes ERP software as needed.
  • Per assigned projects, may complete the following: suspension removal, installation, prototyping, testing, repair and troubleshooting on a variety of models of cars and light duty trucks. This includes shocks/coilovers, sway bars, springs and other suspension related components.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • General Mechanic Certification or equivalent mechanical experience - experience in suspension work on all makes and models of cars and light duty trucks.
  • Ability to collaborate on projects, and present data/information in front of team members and management.
  • Ability to read measurement tools, and perform basic shop math
  • Knowledge/experience with welding equipment and sheet metal fabrication desirable
  • Knowledge/experience with machine shop equipment desired, but not required
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma and AA Degree with minimum one year’s experience in high-volume mechanic shop performing maintenance, installs, repairs.

SHIPPING CLERK

Position Summary: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for utilizing company systems and equipment to process order information in preparation for shipping. Duties include scanning, data entry and system processes, packing, labeling and preparing documentation for verification on aFe shipments.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions (not a comprehensive list; other duties may be assigned):

  • Inspects pulled orders for accuracy prior to processing.
  • Prepares orders for shipping by packing, labeling and preparing documentation.
  • Processes shipments through aFe and shipping vendor systems.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Performs general shipping duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sorting, as assigned.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area, and monitors equipment to ensure it is in good condition and operational.
  • Follows safety procedures and notifies management of any observed safety risk.
  • May be required to assist with product “put away” process.
  • Performs related duties as required by supervision.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of FedEx/UPS shipping technology required.
  • Familiarity with database and inventory software, manufacturing/warehouse software programs, preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Possesses basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Maintains the production pace of other team members

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma and minimum six (6) months minimum high-volume warehouse shipping/receiving experience, and/or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE

Position Summary: The Technical Support Representative responds to incoming customer inquiries of a technical nature that come in via email and phone, and provides prompt troubleshooting assistance on a variety of technical questions and issues related to aFe's automotive products and applications. This position is responsible for escalating technical product issues per established procedures to internal departments for resolution and will follow-up with the customer to provide a prompt resolution, thus ensuring a superior customer experience.

  • Troubleshoots technical product issues and questions as they come in from email or telephone and Zendesk.
  • Escalates customer inquiries requiring additional technical assessment to internal departments (Sales, Engineering, Shipping).
  • Works with internal departments towards a satisfactory resolution and coordinates communication for a fast resolution.
  • Ensures follow-up and communication with customers on pending issues and resolution timelines.
  • Updates customer/account information in internal systems as needed.
  • Navigates business operating system to provide stock status, order status, ETA, tracking numbers, and prices, as required.
  • Assists with order entry when order volume is heavy.
  • Attends product training to stay informed on new product releases, and technical product information.
  • Maintains a clean and tidy work space, and follows all safety procedures and processes.
