FRONT END WEB DESIGNER / GRAPHIC ARTIST

Position Summary: We are seeking a talented web design rock-star to help transform our online presence and help showcase the quality and excitement of the aFe brand. The Front End Web Designer will partner with the marketing team and produce engaging creative assets and experiences for auto enthusiasts. aFe POWER offers competitive compensation packages and a full menu of health, retirement and time-off benefits. This position will be located at our headquarters in Corona, California.

Roles & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Design and build B2C digital marketing elements that convey the brand (emails, landing pages, web banners, product pages, etc.)
  • Produce sketches, prototypes, wireframes, etc. to communicate concepts and progress.
  • Photograph and manipulate products and vehicles to create compelling and exciting visuals.
  • Front End Developer: Implement CMS pages into Magento Enterprise and WordPress

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS, XML, PHP, JavaScript, Ajax
  • Experience with development on a web CMS platform (Wordpress preferred)
  • Understanding of Mobile Design & Responsive Development
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external business partners to maximize performance, creativity, and problem solving to meet goals and deadlines with desired results
  • Ability to function effectively, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines and goals in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing business needs
  • Experience with Magento preferred
  • Experience or Interest in Automotive Aftermarket preferred.
  • Social Media Marketing Experience a plus
  • Videography and Video Editing a plus
  • Blog and Writing Experience a plus

Education and/or Experience:

  • Education: BA or BS is strongly preferred. Candidates without degrees will be considered if they possess an exemplary record of success and expertise relevant to web development.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum three (3) years of web development and design experience required.

PRODUCT SPECIALIST

Position Summary: The Product Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing the product release process with project leaders, engineers and technicians. This entails requesting part numbers, completing BOMs and ensuring they are accurately loaded into the business system. In addition, the Product Specialist is responsible for creating and issuing NPAs (New Product Announcements), product data files, installation instructions and loading new product web pages onto the aFe POWER website.

Roles & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Project Binder: Create project binder and project folders on server
  • Part Numbers: Create Part Number Entry Forms (Raw Materials and Finished Goods) and have part numbers entered into the business system.
  • BOMs: Work with Configuration Management to release part numbers after obtaining min/max, pricing, vendor info, etc and all necessary signatures. Ensure accuracy of PN, description, qty, costs.
  • Product Data Files: Obtain application info, dyno and flow numbers, charts; create pricing worksheet and obtain Jobber price
  • New Production Announcement: Obtain product photos and create New Product Announcements.
  • Installation Instructions: Obtain text and photos, review and create Installation Instructions.
  • Web Site: Create web landing page with photos, texts, related products, etc. Also input vehicle application information.
  • Email Announcements: Prepare internal email with NPA, photos and product data files properly linked with web
  • Review current product information in business system and on website for accuracy.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and accurate and possess a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and handle multiple tasks by setting priorities and being focused.
  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Must be computer-literate, be able to navigate around computer/server files and directories (i.e.: search, copy, delete, move and save, etc.).
  • Possess basic Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
  • Typing skills: 30 words a minute or more required.
  • Knowledge of web, website, web page creation and manipulation is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of database software; Inventory software and Manufacturing software is preferred but not required.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
  • AA degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Web Development or related field, and 6 months - 1 year experience in a high-volume Marketing department in product release support role, or combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Automotive enthusiast, highly preferred
