aFe Power is excited to introduce our first Cast BladeRunner Intercooler for the 1994-2002 L6-5.9L Cummins (td). This intercooler features a 25% larger bar and plate core design allowing it to outflow the stock by 10%. The cast 356-T6 aluminum ends tanks are integrated with our MDV technology which are 100% TIG-Welded by our certified craftsmen.
FEATURES • Cast 356-T6 Aluminum end tanks • aFe MDV (Multi-Directional Vane) Technology • 10% flow increase over stock • Bar and Plate core design (25% larger than stock) • 100% TIG- Welded • Pressure tested at 100psi
Multi-Directional Vane Technology
The BladeRunner MDV technology is used to direct hot air flow through the entire intercooler core, which allows for greater cooling. The ends tanks of the BladeRunner are constructed out of cast 356-T6 aluminum that incorporate three multi-directional vanes on each side.
Bar and Plate Core Design
The small tube and fin design used by the stock intercooler does not allow for much heat dissipation, which can cause heat soak. The bar and plate core design on the BladeRunner allows for greater airflow and increased heat dissipation. This intercooler also features 3.625" inlet/outlet connections that allows you to use upgraded or stock tubing.
The BladeRunner is 100% TIG-Welded for strength and durability by our certified Craftsmen. TIG-Welding provides the strongest welds while reducing stress cracks.
