  • aFe POWER Dyno Tests and Adds Power to the New 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor


    aFe POWER engineers have been having fun this week when the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor entered the building. Teams from Intake, Exhaust, Tuning and Suspension were working alongside each other to begin measuring and prototyping new performance products for the new 450hp 3.5L Twin Turbo EcoBoost, different from it's base model F-150 cousin.

    The SCORCHER GT is a plug and play module capable of adding horsepower and torque with a 30 minute installation. Check out the dyno chart below, and compare the baseline Raptor dyno test to the initial results from the aFe SCORCHER. Final tuning has not been completed, but we already have a solid gain of +30hp and +27 lbs. ft of torque at the wheels!

    aFe POWER Momentum GT 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Cold Air Intake System


    The aFe Intake Team has already CAD designed and 3D printed a Momentum GT Series Cold Air Intake prototype for the 2017 F-150 Raptor and testing is underway. The Momentum GT Air Intake Systems feature an extremely large air filter, designed to increase the air flow and incorporate a scoop to pull fresh air from the front of the Raptor.

  • aFe POWER Cars and Coffee Event - December 17, 2016


    It was a chilly morning for Southern Californians, but that didn't stop car enthusiasts from braving the cold to head over to the aFe Performance Center in Riverside to show off their rides at our aFe POWER Cars & Coffee event. It's always exciting to see what will be in attendance, and there was old school imports to modern American muscle on hand! You can always see the passion and camaraderie of enthusiasts get a chance to talk and interact with one another. 


    Everyone had a great time discussing the unique vehicles present, as well as get a chance to see aFe's new Performance Center and the parts on display. There was definitely some vehicles not commonly seen around such as a trio of Mitsubishi 3000GT's, a Dodge Viper, Datsun 510 Wagon and Datsun 240Z!

  • aFe POWER Unleashes Titan XD Performance Upgrades

    When the second generation Nissan Titan pickup truck was revealed, many wondered how it would fair against heavyweights Ford, Dodge, and Chevy. Powered by a Cummins 5.0L V8 turbo diesel, producing a hefty 310 HP and 555 Lb. x ft. of Torque at the crank. Completely redesigned inside and out the new Titan XD offers a high level of luxury with brute strength all in one package. aFe POWER will rely on our vast experience with Cummins Engines to give this truck the complete aFe POWER makeover.

    The intake development team got to work the second this truck rolled into the shop. Pictured above, you can see our experienced team of engineers have already developed a 3D Printed Momentum HD Intake with testing fully underway in real world conditions. The Momentum HD features a roto-molded one-piece housing to protect the air filter from hot engine bay temperatures, including a larger diameter intake tube for maximum airflow for improved horsepower and torque. A large, clear sight window is used for a hassle-free filter inspection and unique aggressive styling. The included urethane plug can be used to block off the auxiliary air inlet, or you can add our optional air scoop which will be available for purchase for increased airflow.

    Nissan Titan XD prototype intercooler tubes 2

    The intercooler charge pipes were next on the list to tackle for the Nissan Titan XD. The stock intercooler pipes are 2-1/2” inlet and outlet diameters from both the cold and hot side tubes. We will be featuring two packages, one will be an OE upgrade for those wanting to keep their stock intercooler, and the other will be a complete intercooler kit upgrade. The OE upgrade will feature a hot side charge pipe with a 2-1/2” inlet and outlet diameter, featuring fewer bends than what the OE has for increased airflow. The cold side charge pipe will have a 3” inlet and outlet diameter increasing airflow and minimizing restriction. The complete kit will feature an upgraded intercooler core and new 3” charge pipes on both the hot and cold side for increased cooling efficiency.

    The stock exhaust for the Nissan Titan XD was too boring for an aggressive looking truck, the R&D exhaust team didn’t waste any time in developing a tougher looking exhaust system for the Titan XD. The LARGE BORE XD exhaust system is crafted from either a 4" or 5” mandrel-bent stainless steel or aluminized steel for maximum air flow and aggression. We use high-quality band clamps and OE-style bayonet hangers for a secure and leak-free seal, and offer your choice of either a large stainless steel polished or black intercooled exhaust tip. Both systems fit the Titan XD crew cab with the standard bed (151.6” Wheelbase/6-6 ft. bed).

    If you crave more performance, then our Scorcher HD Tuner Module is the answer you’re looking for. The factory tuning always leaves something more on the table when it comes to tuning, the Scorcher HD tuner module unlocks that hidden performance for everyday use under your command. Unlike other handheld Tuners that will flash your trucks computer and risk voiding your warranty. Our module relieves you of that concern, by leaving no trace on the ECU for the dealership to pick up upon scanning when returned back to stock.     aFe POWER Rear differential covers offer increased protection, simply by supplying increased fluid lubrication and reducing temperatures to vital parts in your Titan XD’s differential. We offer our rear differentials in either our Street Series (RAW Finish) or our Pro Series (Black Powder Coated Finish). Both feature built-in cooling fins to maximize heat transfer for cooler fluid temperatures. A built-in magnetic drain plug helps capture loose metal particles that could be floating around, this helps prolong the life of both your fluid and differential over time. Available with our Pro Series covers, we include a sight glass plug which allows you to perform a quick visual fluid inspection, and a magnetic fill plug for added protection.

  • aFe POWER is Developing New Performance Upgrades for the BMW M2


    BMW M2 on Dyno

    The BMW M2 is the automaker’s answer to Audi and Mercedes-Benz in the premium sport compact segment. The 2016 BMW M2 is a wolf in sheep’s clothing as it shares a lot of the M4’s technology underneath its body. From the suspension to the large 4 piston front brakes, they are all shared with the bigger brother M4. The BMW M2 does have several differences that set it apart, such as having its very own tuned dampers, springs, and hardly noticeable narrower tires. The N55 inline 6cyl turbocharged engine is spirited, sharing some DNA from the S55 engine found in the M4, cranking out a stunning 365 HP and 369 Lb. x. ft. of Torque at the crank.

    aFe POWER has always had a passion for BMW’s, and that drive continues with the BMW M2. Our in-house M2 allows us to develop the latest and greatest for this platform, carefully testing each and every part in real world conditions. The aFe POWER products that were showcased at Bimmerfest 2016 were only the beginning of the full line of performance upgrades. Now we are excited to be releasing power and suspension upgrades for the all new BMW M2.

    Proudly developed and crafted in the USA, aFe CONTROL has engineered lowering springs for the 2016+ BMW M2 (F87) to be optimized with the factory shock absorber dampening. We offer a 1” drop to combine the perfect balance of performance and style to eliminate that dreaded wheel gap. The lower center of gravity will inspire cornering confidence without affecting ride quality and comfort. Our aFe CONTROL lowering springs for the BMW M2 are a direct fit upgrade and require no modifications to the vehicle.

    The talented engineers at aFe CONTROL have been working hard on developing coilovers for the BMW M2. We are excited to release a high-performance coilover that will increase cornering speed, without compromising ride quality. They are ride height adjustable with 24 different settings you can feel to match your driving conditions. Our coilovers provide a much more predictable ride and feel, thanks to the inverted mono-tube design and CIRC system (Concentric Integrated Remote Canister) that more than triples the amount of gas volume over a standard coilover, providing wider temperature ranges and consistent performance. This kit is a direct fit, requiring no modifications needed to install.

Our system gives you the benefit of maintaining your factory shocks and struts, with fully adjustable ride height capability for that perfect stance. The system features slip on coil over sleeves for the front struts that are TIG welded, and then zinc plated for maximum strength. Installation is easy, just press off the factory OE spring seat and replace it with our aFe CONTROL VHS. All mounts included for OEM accelerometers and sway bars for a seamless factory style appearance. Our aFe CONTROL Variable Height Springs allow you to lower your BMW M2 from 0.5” to 1.5,” providing that custom appearance while still maintaining that sophisticated BMW ride quality.

    Debuted at Bimmerfest 2016, aFe POWER’s Momentum GT Intake combined with our Scorcher GT Tuner Module will boost your M2’s N55 engine to its maximum potential. Starting with the Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System, which will deliver improved performance and throttle response. Features include a clear sight window for easy filter inspection without disassembling the entire system. Unique (Patent Pending) Filter-to-Housing Interface allows for a quick, seamless and secure installation. Our roto-molded one-piece air box resists hot engine temperatures, while the dyno-tuned intake tube increases airflow for maximum horsepower and torque. (Performance data will be released soon)


    The aFe POWER Scorcher Tuner Module will improve horsepower, torque, and throttle response by altering the pressure sensor signals to increase boost and fuel levels to an optimum point throughout the entire RPM range. Unlike other handheld tuners that will flash your vehicle’s computer, the Scorcher Tuner Module leaves no trace on the ECU. Preventing any warranty concerns you may have and is easily reversible back to stock.     We didn’t forget about the exhaust system for the M2 either, which is in the final stages of testing so you won’t have to wait too long for that renown aFe performance and sound. The M2 exhaust system is precision engineered for maximum performance and durability featuring a 3-1/2” inlet to 3” outlet, and manufactured from robust 304 stainless steel with quad polished or carbon-fiber exhaust tips. Down-pipes will be available in either our catted or non-catted versions, with hardware provided on both upgrades for a hassle-free installation.

    BMW M2 Swaybars

    aFe CONTROL has developed a swaybar kit for the F80 series chassis. Designed to increase roll stiffness without upsetting the M2's natural balance or traction control systems. Perfectly balanced, the 32mm front and 29mm rear bars are lightweight, made from a tubular construction, and feature CNC machined TIG welded bar ends for a perfect fit. We also include CNC machined 6061-T6 sway bar bushing brackets that are anodized black and direct fit polyurethane bushings. Anyone can provide a stiff bar, but to maintain perfect balance is crucial to increasing corner speed.

  • aFe POWER Dyno Tests and Adds Power to the New 2017 Ford F-250

    aFe POWER is known for developing performance products on diesel trucks, naturally given the opportunity to work on the new 2017 Ford F-250 the engineers jumped. You may ask yourself why the new F-250 is such a big deal, well here are several reasons why the new F series is improved for 2017. 


    Lightweight strength was achieved without losing structural integrity. Just like its smaller brother the F-150, the F-250 sheds some weight off with high-strength aluminum. Approximately 350 pounds were lost, but while many will doubt whether or not this truck can handle massive payloads, a stiffer frame, stronger axles and suspension components have been upgraded to compensate.

    Powering this F-250 is a 6.7L Power Stroke turbo diesel V8. New engine updates helped produced an impressive 440 HP and 925 lb-ft of torque at the crank.


    While stock out of the box the truck delivers admirable performance, at aFe POWER we don’t know the meaning of the word “stock”. We are the first to strap this powerful workhorse to a dyno and see what it puts down at the wheels. Future products to keep an eye out from aFe POWER is our Scorcher Tuner Module, Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System, exhaust system upgrades and more!

    As mentioned before we needed to do a baseline run to see what we are working with in stock trim. We use our in-house dyno jet as a tool to visually see what performance gains our products will improve upon. In this case, we are testing our Scorcher HD Tuner Module for the 2017 Ford F-250 with the 6.7L V8 engine.

    Ford's new F-250 is certainly a torque monster, producing over 800 Ft. lbs of torque to the wheels at 2,000 RPM! Obviously, that much amount of torque helps when pulling heavy loads from destination to destination. But there’s always room for improvement, the aFe POWER Scorcher HD Tuner Module will increase your Power Stroke diesels horsepower, torque and throttle response. Whether for pulling, cruising, or even hitting the local drag strip for fun, our tuner module will not leave you disappointed.

  • New Product: Takeda Axle-Back Exhaust System 2011-2016 Scion tC L4-2.5L



    aFe is proud to Introduces the Takeda axle-back exhaust system for the 2011-2016 Scion tC with the L4-2.5L engine. Tested in Corona, CA this system resulted in gains up to +6 horsepower and +5 lbs. x ft. of torque verified by our in house dyno. This system is constructed from 2-1/4" into 2-1/2” brushed finish, mandrel-bent, 304 stainless steel tubing that is 100% TIG-welded. It utilizes a high-flow, polished 304 stainless steel resonator used to absorb high pitch tones which produces a performance sound. Finishing off this exhaust system, is a massive 4.25" x 4.75" Oval double wall, angle-cut, 304 stainless steel tip in your choice of polished or gloss black with the original Takeda logo laser-etched . This system uses all factory hanger locations eliminating the need for modifications.

    aFe is proud to introduce the new Twisted Steel Street Series Header/Y-Pipe combinations for the 2005-2011 Toyota Tacoma 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive with the V6-4.0L engine.Tested in Corona, CA, the headers produced a max gain of +9 horsepower and +12 lbs. x ft. torque verified by our in house dyno. All hardware needed is included for a hassle free install.



    These headers are constructed of 

    1-5/8” 16 gauge mandrel-bent stainless steel tubing that are 100% hand MIG-welded. The 3/8” thick CNC Laser cut flanges provides a precise fit and leak-free seal.



    A 3-to-1 mitered merge decrease turbulence and increases exhaust velocity. The result is increased horsepower, torque and improved throttle response.



    The massive y-pipe is designed using a mitered merge that utilizes a 2-1/2" into 3" transition for optimum flow while removing turbulence.

    aFe Power is adding another new exhaust system to the Rebel Series Line for 2011-2014 Ford F150 EcoBoost with V6-3.5L (tt) engine. This Rebel Series cat-back system is designed with dual black exhaust tips that exit in front of the rear passenger tire. The tips are constructed from 304 stainless steel for durability. This exhaust system is constructed from 3" into dual 2-1/2" mandrel bent stainless steel tubing for maximum flow, increased horsepower and torque. Tested in Corona, CA this exhaust system produced an additional +15 horsepower and +18 lbs. x ft. of torque as verified by our in house dyno. This system utilizes an 18" free flowing muffler that absorbs high pitch tones producing a powerful sound, virtually eliminating drone. The cat-back exhaust system includes all necessary hardware and clamps for a hassle-free install, with no cutting required making it a true bolt on system.
