This week's SEMA vehicle spotlight, is our 2014 Porsche 911/991 Carrera 4S. The legendary 911 model has been around for over 50 years and as years goes on, it keeps raising the bar for other sports cars. This car rockets to a quick 0-60 in 4 seconds, using the full potential of it's H6-3.8L Naturally Aspirated engine. While this state of the art piece of machinery is very impressive, our engineers felt there can be improvements made.
Here is a list of aFe upgrades we have done to our Porsche that you will see at our SEMA booth.
Come by Booth # 21301 to see what new product we have for your vehicle.
Our Intake development team went to work, creating a one piece 3D printed housing using the latest in CAD technology. The Stage-2 SI intake system will shield the filters from engine heat, while using the OEM air ducts to draw cool air in to maximize horsepower and torque.
We utilize two large high flowing 4-1/2" flange filters that will not only protect, but deliver an increase in power and throttle response. They will be mounted to a carbon fiber tube that connects directly to the throttle body, as well as another key feature is our box will be roto-molded and will integrate a carbon fiber top for decreased weight.
We didn't just stop at the intake, we also installed our cat-back exhaust on our Porsche Carrera 4S. Countless hours were spent in R&D to develop an exhaust that sounded, performed, and looked impressive. Constructed out of 304 Stainless Steel that is TIG-welded for superior durability, all while providing a nice brushed by hand finish.
We designed our X-pipe in CAD, to simulate how different designs would help in scavenging exhaust pulses more efficiently. Racing inspired us to develop a brushed finish step mid pipe, which releases all available power at once rather than a gradual gain. The end result was an impressive +34 HP and +43 lbs. x ft. of torque to the wheels, on the factory tune. Our engineers were also eager to make our exhaust as light as possible, we ended up shedding 20 lbs from the OEM exhaust. Finally we provided two exotic tip options to match an exotic machine. You can choose either our quad 3.5" Carbon Fiber tip, or our lustrous polished quad tip.
Porsche Carrera owners will enjoy the improved experience, with our exhaust.
It is available now for purchase.
