Bringing the BMW Community Together for 20 Years
Many different scenes have their signature styles – JDM guys sort of all like the same wheels, the same look, and same with Mopar guys, etc. Sure, the usual tasteful European builds are some people’s fancy, but one of the best parts of Bimmerfest is the sheer amount of cars it draws in and all the differences between them.
It gives attendees the chance to see clean “OEM plus” builds, full-on race cars, insanely detailed show cars, and everything in between. Each year, there’s always new crazy builds to check out.
There’s those that prefer to hang out in the paddock area and become immersed in the track scene, there’s those that have their full attention on showing their personal vehicle, and there’s those that are just there for the fun of it – and want to be check out every aspect of the Ultimate Driving Machine, whether sitting pretty or in action.
Aside from the cars… this year was like past years in that, the second everyone got parked and situated, the event really started to take shape. Everyone gets in the groove and the welcoming, friendly vibe from surrounding enthusiasts becomes evident.
The excitement along with a burning sun and heat made day one quite draining. It was slated to rain basically from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, but the weather gods were with us and it ended up just sprinkling off and on, allowing the show to resume in full effect.
All in all, as expected, it was a great show. We met people from all over California, people from Seattle, people from everywhere – it’s obvious why people travel so far for this. There’s no place a BMW enthusiast feels more at home.
Until next year, Bimmerfest!

SPOCOM's Debut Into the Modern American Muscle Scene
The First Ever
SPOCOM has long been known across the country for their kick ass sport compact shows. We've attended every single one in Southern California for the past few years and can attest to the quality of builds they draw in.
When we heard they were expanding their event offerings to include the booming modern muscle market, we knew we had to check it out. Here's how it went down.
TORQUED was much like the O.G. SPOCOM in that it drew full-on show cars, purpose-built track cars, and literally everything in between.
Amazing under-hood murals, crazy wraps, huge turbochargers, insane fitment, free energy drinks, and models... lots and lots of models.
aFe POWER's Booth
We came prepared with handfuls of t-shirts, tons of goodie bags, stickers and, most importantly, three of our favorite in-house USDM cars – including two modded 5.0 Mustangs and a brand-new-to-us Challenger Hellcat.
Walking the aisles, attendees were rewarded with not only tons of eye candy, but also an overwhelming sense of community. Quite a few car clubs came in full force and it seemed everyone knew everyone.
It was truly a prime example of what the "car scene" is meant to be.
Honestly, the sheer amount of cars that were in attendance was pretty impressive, but it's not everyday that you can check out dozens of high-horsepower Vipers, Hellcats, Demons, and more – all in one place.
All we know, is we'll see you at the next TORQUED.

Save the Date! March 23rd, 2019 aFe will be attending the Spring Festival of LX at the historic Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, California. This event hosts the largest gathering of Dodge/Chrysler LX platformed vehicles in So-Cal, with spectators and show vehicles coming in from all across the nation to attend. Last year, we had a huge booth with tons of new product on display and goodies for sale. This year, we’ll have a killer lineup of booth vehicles, a trailer stocked with product for sale and lots of freebies to raffle off. Make sure not to miss it! Below are some pictures from last year's show.
The second annual Toyo Tires Calendar Launch event, in collaboration with Super Street, went off without a hitch despite unpredictable weather. With pouring rain beforehand, the skies cleared just in time for us to check out the eclectic mix of awesome builds and snag a few 2019 calendars from the Toyo girls.
Held at the Honda Center in Anaheim, there was a great crowd of enthusiasts drawn to some of So-Cal’s greatest builds. Here are just a few of our favorites spotted at the show. Where you there?
Our Mustang GT was surrounded by imports off all fashions - but there was no lack of impressive USDM vehicles, either. A mint condition Ford GT made an appearance, along with plenty of modified modern muscle.
It's not very often you come across an automotive event of this caliber anymore - with everything from modified daily drivers with crazy wraps, full-on race cars, to exotics, all without any hassle from the locals.
Some cars from big names in the scene, such as JayCray, Bisimoto, and Johnny Grunwald, were spotted as well.
Two iterations of the legendary Acura NSX made an appearance - both outfitted in a gorgeous candy apple red paint color.
The OG NSX' classic sports car stature stole the hearts of many JDM enthusiasts, but sitting next to the new one, these cars together stole the show.
