CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT

Position Summary: The Customer Service Agent is responsible for providing a superior experience to aFe customers in a fast-paced call center environment. The Customer Service Agent provides information on aFe products and services, delivery ETAs and order status and enthusiastic support for aFe’s trade and end-user accounts.

Essential Functions, Roles and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer calls for product and price inquiries as well as shipment status.

MECHANICAL DESIGNER

Position Summary: This position reports to the team manager and will work in a VERY fast-paced development environment. VIDEOGRAPHER

 Position Summary: The Videographer is responsible for creating and editing high impact video content promoting the aFe brand and products, including customer stories, internal videos, external promotional videos, product marketing videos, event videos, podcasts, and other company-wide projects.

  • Produces high quality video content.
  • Creates and edits video and audio projects, capturing/importing media, organizing media assets, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, adding music/voice-over/sfx; administers media management and archives project media.

DISTRIBUTION MANAGER

 Position Summary: The Distribution Manager will have primary responsibility for the strategic and day-to-day management of the finished goods warehouse and Shipping Department, ensuring that warehouse configuration and shipping processes are defined and implemented for optimal efficiency of aFe product distribution.

Roles & Responsibilities and Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

  • Manages projects related to warehouse configuration and work-flow design to align with corporate growth strategy.

MIG/TIG WELDER

Position Summary:  The Exhaust Production Department is looking to hire MIG/TIG Welders on 1st and 2nd shift! The MIG/TIG Welder will be skilled at welding thin gauge mild steel, stainless steel (409 & 304) and aluminum materials for the manufacture of automotive exhaust systems.

Roles & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Reads and comprehends job work instruction “process sheets.”
  • Places parts in specified weld jigs
  • Welds components or assemblies using TIG and MIG welding per required specifications
  • Welds exhaust and/or header tubes and related fixtures.
  • Preform continuous inspection of welded/assembled products.
  • Completes requires job documentation and process reports for assigned jobs.
  • Monitors and report any fitment issues to supervision.
  • May also operate machines such as saws, tube expanders and tube benders, when needed.
  • Works at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey or hoist raw materials or finished goods
  • Perform production duties such as manual lifting of jigs and welded products
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow safety regulations
  • Wears all required PPE in accordance with safety regulations, RPP and welding standards.

SHIPPING CLERK

Position Summary: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for pulling and processing orders for shipment, utilizing standard scanning equipment; duties include inspection, packing, labeling and preparing documentation for verification on aFe shipments.

  • Utilizes scanner gun to pull parts from stock as orders are released in the system.
  • Verifies parts locations in assigned bins.
  • Confirms part number on box matches part number on the released order.
  • Pulls correct quantities per order, and verifies pulled order is accurate to the scanner.
  • Monitors and reports any inventory shortage, defective materials or questionable conditions of product or processes to supervision.
  • Rotates workstations as needed in support of shipping workflow and product distribution.

  • Performs packaging, including sorting, taping, labeling and sorting of product.

RECEIVING CLERK

Position Summary: The Materials Group is looking for an experience Receiving Clerk to join the team on 1st shift. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accepting, inspecting, and transferring incoming deliveries including raw materials and built components in support of manufacturing operations. The Receiving Clerk signs for, inspects and verifies delivery content against shipping invoices, escalates any delivery issues and performs system transfers of deliveries to appropriate departments accordingly.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions (not a comprehensive list; other duties may be assigned):

  • Accepts and signs for deliveries from distributor / shipping company.
  • May assist in unloading shipments from delivery trucks.
  • Uses dollies, forklifts and other moving equipment to transport shipments from receiving dock to inspection location, if needed.
  • Opens, inspects, counts and verifies delivery matches shipping invoice; works with purchasing and accounting department on discrepancies.
  • Enters verified quantities into inventory system.

FILTER PRODUCTION

Position Summary: The Filter Production Department is looking for Filter Production Associates for both 1st and 2nd shift! The Filter Production Associate operates a variety of manual and automated manufacturing machinery and shop tools such as pleaters, cutters/clippers, shop saws and automated filter carousel to support aFe’s filter production operations and will also perform sub-assembly and product inspection.

Roles & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Operates automatic pleating machine by loading raw material filter medium, utilizing machine controls to commence pleating and unloading pleated filter media.
  • Operates shop saw to cut filter material to specified width and length
  • Uses tools such as to clip filter medium to form filter shape per documented specifications.
  • Uses dispensing guns to add urethane to create filter tops and bottoms for oiled filters.
  • Loads, positions, and unloads automated filter carousel with filters for processing.
  • Uses trim tools to trim excess flash from completed part.
  • Inspects completed filter for defects and quality based on specifications.
  • Assembles and packages filters using packaging material per specifications.
  • Communicates machine issues and/or manufacturing process issues to management.
  • Follows all safety procedures and regulations.

R&D TECHNICIAN - EXHAUST DEVELOPMENT

Position Summary: The Exhaust Development team is currently looking for experienced automotive R&D Technicians! Reporting to project leaders, this position performs vehicle maintenance and repair, fitment testing, fabrication/MIG welding, installs and documentation in support of product development from initial concept through production, as assigned.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

  • Provides mechanical support to project leaders and design engineers on assigned projects.
  • Completes assigned task lists and assignments according to established schedules.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • General Mechanic Certification or equivalent mechanical experience in automotive repair for various makes and models of cars and light duty trucks.
  • Intermediate to advanced MIG welding, and fabrication skills (cutting, grinding, bending).
  • Strong collaboration and presentation skills to update teams on project status.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, and effective verbal and written communication.
  • Familiarity with dynamometers a plus.
  • Basic shop math, and advanced knowledge of automotive shop tools.

Education and Experience:

  • HS Diploma and min. 1-year experience in a manufacturing or automotive shop environment on a wide variety of vehicles.
  • General Mechanic certification preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent motor vehicle record (MVR) and valid California Driver’s License (required)

Hours: Mon – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

TECHNICAL SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE

Position Summary: The Technical Support Representative responds to incoming customer inquiries of a technical nature that come in via email and phone and provides prompt troubleshooting assistance on a variety of technical questions and issues related to aFe products and applications. This position is responsible for escalating technical product issues per established procedures to internal departments for resolution and will follow-up with the customer to ensure a superior customer experience.

Essential Functions, Roles and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Troubleshoots technical product issues and questions as they come in from email or telephone and ticketing system.
  • Analyzes and escalates customer inquiries that require additional assessment and works with internal departments such as Sales, Shipping, and Engineering towards a satisfactory resolution.
  • Ensures follow-up and communication with customers on pending issues and resolution timelines.
  • Updates customer/account information in internal systems as needed.
  • Navigates business operating system to provide stock status, order status, ETA, tracking numbers, prices, and alternative choices to customers, as required.
  • Attends product training to stay informed on new product releases, and technical product information.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace and follows all safety procedures and processes.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; exceptional data entry skills with intolerance for errors.

  • Advanced familiarity with MS Office Suite, and business operating systems; computer literacy required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED required, and Associates Degree with 6 months’ minimum experience in a technical support position in an automotive retail environment (counter sales), or in-bound call center preferred, or relevant combination of education and experience.

Hours: 7am – 4pm, Monday - Friday
