FABRICATOR - EXHAUST DEVELOPMENT

Position Summary: The Fabricator – Exhaust Development is responsible for supporting project leaders in the development, prototyping and test fitting of aFe exhaust applications.

Roles & Responsibilities / Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

  • Provides fabrication / welding support for new and sustaining exhaust development projects
  • Visualizes concepts and produces physical models
  • Measures, tests, designs, prototypes and fits on vehicles
  • Completes project documentation and progress reports for assigned projects

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of one year in a manufacturing environment
  • 1 yr. min. MIG Welding, tube and metal forming required
  • 1 yr. min. sheet metal fabrication, required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • General automotive knowledge, mechanical aptitude, experience working on cars/trucks, preferred
  • Ability to comprehend simple written and verbal instructions and procedures

DIRECT SALES REPRESENTATIVE - INBOUND PHONE

Position Summary: The Direct Sales Representative is responsible for obtaining sales, processing orders and educating the aFe customer through in-bound calls. This position acts as an aFe brand ambassador, working closely with the end user on identifying the perfect aFe product solution based on each customer’s unique performance needs.

Roles & Responsibilities / Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

  • Responds to in-bound calls and educates customers on aFe products and vehicle applications.
  • Makes recommendations for aFe product solutions based on needs assessment and customer inquiries.
  • Obtains orders and captures sales from customer in-bound calls.
  • May represent aFe at local car/truck shows and promote the aFe Power product lines.
  • May assist the Technical Service department with excess phone volume or issue resolution.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge of aFe product lines by pursuing training and development opportunities.
  • Collaborates closely with internal departments when needed to answer product related questions or escalate technical product issues for resolution.
  • Administers will-call or customer pre-arranged pickups through factory outlet.
  • Ensures a superior customer experience at all times.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a customer service acumen for communication by phone.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK

Position Summary: The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the payment of goods and services purchased by the organization. This role also serves as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed for the purchasing and payment of goods and services.

Schedule: 8am – 5pm, Monday - Friday

Essential Roles & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Assists in managing the corporate credit cards and tracking charges.
  • Inputs and posts online charges to the general ledger.
  • Inputs bills and receiving reports to create the A/P invoice in Microsoft Dynamics (NAV).
  • Assists in the process of payments to vendors.
  • Cross trains to cover A/R duties to cover for absences and vacation.
  • Assists in quarterly reporting for Sales Tax Reporting.
  • Assists in the issuance of 1099s at year end.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) plus application of general accounting theory.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite with emphasis in Word and Excel.

MATERIAL HANDLER

Position Summary: The Material Handler performs material handling and material movement activities as assigned in support of material management and manufacturing operations, and is responsible for putting away and distribution of raw materials, throughout the plant in support of production.

Schedule: 8am – 4:30pm, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities and Essential Functions (not a comprehensive list; other duties may be assigned):

  • Performs basic material handling activities: unloading trucks, dollies, carts; put away and distribution of raw materials from inventory location.
  • Prepares required documentation for material movements from raw materials throughout the plant and uses RF scanner for inventory accuracy.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Performs general duties such as manual lifting, labeling, and put away based on specifications in designated locations.
  • Utilizes power lifting equipment: pallet jack, forklift, stand-up, etc.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area, and monitors equipment to ensure it is in good condition and operational.
  • Follows safety procedures and notifies management of any observed safety risk or hazard.
  • Performs related duties as required by supervision.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to lift or move items up to 60 lbs.
  • Familiarity with database and inventory software, manufacturing/warehouse MRP, preferred.
  • Must be able to read and interpret instructions in English
  • Attention to detail and high commitment to accuracy.

CNC TUBE BENDER - EXHAUST PRODUCTION

Position Summary: The CNC Tube Bender performs all functions related to tube bending, using CNC tube bending equipment and machinery, ensuring that all parts conform to specifications and meet quality standards. Duties include set-up, adjustments, and operation of bending machinery.

Schedule: 6am – 2:30pm, Mon-Fri

Essential Roles & Responsibilities (other responsibilities may be assigned):

  • Sets up, adjusts and operates CNC tube bending machinery and equipment to bend structural metal tubing to specifications.
  • Checks bent tubing to specification and tolerance using proper measurement and inspection equipment.
  • Inspects end-product from bending operation to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintains bending equipment, and notifies management of machine issues.
  • Completes all required paperwork in a correct and timely manner.
  • Operates hoist, cart caddy, fork lift and manual pallet jack, as required.
  • May rotate to other workstations within the exhaust department as needed and operate machinery such as tube expanders and saws.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows safety regulations.
  • Wears all required PPE in accordance with safety regulations and manufacturing standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to comprehend and follow simple written and verbal instructions and procedures
  • Mid to advanced knowledge and familiarity with manufacturing equipment such as CNC tube bender, saws, notching and expanding equipment
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to prioritize work to maintain production pace of other team members
  • General knowledge of database/inventory software and/or manufacturing systems preferred, but not required.
  • Forklift Certification preferred

PRODUCTION WELDER

Position Summary: The MIG/TIG welder is primarily responsible for welding thin gauge mild steel, stainless steel (409 & 304) and aluminum materials for the manufacture of automotive exhausts and intakes.

Schedule: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Mon. – Fri.

Roles & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Reads and comprehends job work instruction “process sheets.”
  • Places parts in specified weld jigs
  • Welds components or assemblies using MIG and/or TIG welding to required specifications
  • Welds exhaust and/or intake tubes and related fixtures.
  • Perform continuous inspection of welded/assembled products.
  • Completes requires job documentation and process reports for assigned jobs.
  • Monitors and report any fitment issues to supervision.
  • May also operate machines such as saws, tube expanders and tube benders, when needed.
  • Works at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Operates tier lift truck or hand truck to move, convey or hoist raw materials or finished goods
  • Perform production duties such as manual lifting of jigs and welded products
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow safety regulations
  • Wears all required PPE in accordance with safety regulations, RPP and welding standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge and experience with TIG/MIG welding process, wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys and aluminum
  • Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters
  • Ability to produce consistent, quality welds in a fast-paced environment, meeting output expectations.
  • Ability to comprehend simple written and verbal instructions, procedures and written process sheets
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Education and/or Experience:

  • Welding Certificate from accredited welding program or school and one (1) year minimum experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment doing MIG and/or TIG welding, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
